The Slipstream is compatible with the SPD cleat - sold on our website - which will clip into almost every studio bike and outdoor bike. The SPD cleat is compatible with studios such as SoulCycle, CycleBar, Equinox, and many more. It will also work with many outdoor bikes as well. Just be sure to check that your pedal states that it is SPD compatible.
If you have a stationary bike at home or a personal bike you ride outdoors that is not compatible with SPD cleats, it is very simple to switch the type of pedals used so that you are able to clip in with our shoes.
The Slipstream is not compatible with a LOOK Delta cleat.
Our cycling shoes do not come with cleats. You may purchase them here.
We always recommend having someone at your cycling studio install your cleats for you. They will have some expertise on where to align the cleats and how tightly they need to be fastened. But if you are planning to install them yourself, see our Installing your cleats guide for some tips.
At TIEM we have a 'No Time Limit' returns policy, so you can return your item anytime.
To be eligible for a refund, your item(s) must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it. Please note: if you have installed an SPD cleat into your shoes, we cannot accept a return for any reason, even if the cleat is subsequently removed.

The Slipstream's primary intended use is cycling. We do not recommend you run in the Slipstream. Cycling shoes are constructed with a rigid sole plate that is ideal for cycling, but not suitable for running (due to this lack of flexibility, we also discourage driving a car in the Slipstream). However, the shoes can be comfortably worn while off the bike to walk around a gym or for other low-intensity use.
You can purchase TIEM footwear online through our web store. Our shoes are also available at a number of cycling studios and shops across the country.
TIEM Slipstream fit similarly to other athletic trainers, but a snug fit is preferable for cycling. So our recommendation is generally to take a half size smaller if you have a narrow foot or if you have a wide foot then stick to your current trainer size.
TIEM Slipstream cycling shoes are suitable for men too and we have many male customers. We're currently in the process of manufacturing shoes up to a UK12, these should be available later this year.
If you would like to be notified when larger sizes are available, then please sign up for our newsletter for the latest updates.
This is a question we get all the time! It is not pronounced like "time" or "team." It is pronounced tee-em. As if you're saying the letter T and M together. Thanks for checking!
The Peloton bike will generally ship with pedals that are only compatible with a LOOK Delta cleat. Our shoe utilises an SPD cleat, which is the far more common standard (many cycling studios will have pedals that can accept both SPD and LOOK Delta, but there are a lot that only offer SPD as well). You can easily swap out the pedals on your peloton, however our shoes cannot be used with LOOK Delta cleats that come with your Peloton.
If you decide you want to change out your pedals, you can do so by purchasing an SPD compatible pedal. Shop pedals here.
